In most cases, you won't be able to. Once the send button is pressed, the email begins its journey to the recipient's inbox. It is not a direct trip. The emails go through several servers in charge of guiding them through the Internet, and it takes a few seconds to reach their goal. But for all intents and purposes, it is as if they appeared instantly on the recipient's computer or mobile.
There are, however, some notable exceptions that can bail us out in the event of an error that we don't notice until after hitting the fatal key. Some email clients can be configured to only send messages after a few minutes. E-mails , meanwhile, stay in the outbox. There is where it is possible to find them in the event that the computer or mobile does not have a connection to the network, waiting for the moment when they can begin their way to the receiver.
Some web email tools also allow you to block a send for a few seconds. This is the case of Gmail, the most popular email platform. Among its configuration options is an undo send call . If activated, it is possible to choose the number of seconds in which the sending of a message can be aborted to correct a mistake or add an attachment. It is possible to select grace periods of up to 30 seconds , enough to save us.
