The 20 best songs to wake up to, according to science

What is the best song to get up? Waking up is not usually a dish of good taste but to make it a little more bearable, the musical psychologist David M. Greenberg from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) and the Spotify application have prepared a list with the 20 best songs that will make us face each day with much more joy and optimism .

According to the study, the intensity of the song should help us wake up little by little and not just suddenly. Songs with positive lyrics and with rhythms that go in ascending progression without too much energy at the beginning (and with a tempo of between 100 and 130 beats per minute) help us to obtain energy and to face the rest of the day, according to the authors.

Thus, “science shows that music affects us in all kinds of ways, including emotionally, physiologically, and also our brain, ” explains Greenberg.
