Glaciers are those large masses of ice that form at the poles, which have a fundamental impact on our planet, and which also provide a lot of information about the climate, acting as natural sensors of climate change.
For this reason, today we have María del Carmen Dominguez, 'Karmenka', an expert in glaciology and explorer. She is a mathematics doctor and co-founder of the Glackma project, which has developed a unique method for studying climate change. In addition, Karmenka has been awarded in 2020 with the Prix Diálogo, awarded by the Dialogue Association to Spanish-French friendship, together with Valérie Masson-Delmotte.
