One more year, the awards for the funniest photographs of the animal kingdom already have their finalists, the photography professionals who have managed to capture 44 amazing photographs, of great quality and, especially, that more humor provoke by the unique gestures, positions or ‘attitudes’ of its wild protagonists.
It must be clarified thathumor, in this case,It is not presented as a frivolous resource through which to approach the animal kingdom; but as an opportunity to reflectabout the rich ecosystems of our planet in a positive way.
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards were created, as quoted on their website, “out of the need for a photo contest that was light-hearted, upbeat, unpretentious, and primarily focusing on wildlife while doing fun things.”
Secondly, this contest aims to give participants the opportunity to reflect on the conservation of nature, which they reflect through the slogan‘Conservation through Competition’(conservation through competition). In addition, it collaborates in this work together with the Born Free Foundation.
The founders believe that, five years after the first edition of the awards, the objectives seem fulfilled. In 2020, 44 photographs have been finalists, andthe winners will be released on October 22.
