Asómbrese en The London Bridge Experience & Tombs

London Bridge Experience & Tombs is a popular ‘scary attraction’. At the London Bridge Experience you can learn all about the gruesome tales of the area.

You will experience medieval life as you enter the Thomas Becket Chapel and the shop-lined streets of London Bridge as the Great Fire of London takes over and sweeps through the city.

After enjoying the experience, you will go to the super fearsome London Tombs, where you will be spooked by the remains of an ancient plague pit.

My review

There is a high admission price, so I visited it when I had a one-day London Pass. ( Find out more about the London Pass ).

The attraction opens at 10 in the morning, but the actors are outside London Bridge station and encourage people to visit it much earlier. After laughing and enjoying fun photo opportunities with them, I walked to the entrance (while the official address is Tooley Street, you have to follow the steps painted on the ground to find your way).

When it was early, I was directed to the souvenir shop, cafe (there is a lounge and vending machines), and restrooms before joining the other first visitors for the first tour of the day.

At 10 in the morning, a small group of us walked in together and we were guided by actors who told us the scary stories of the local area. The place is under London Bridge, so there are no windows and it is dark and sometimes it smells bad. Each room features an actor who tells you about a horrible moment in history and goes out of his way to make you nervous. It’s creepy and funny and you’ll laugh and scream.

The place also includes the London Tombs and this part was incredibly scary and I would not recommend it as an experience for young children. We had to walk single file with our hands on the shoulders of the person in front. For the most part, it was completely dark and we could feel the actors so close that they were breathing on us, but we couldn’t see anything. And when the chainsaw arrived… well, you got the idea. It’s really scary there.
