Can you imagine being able to caress a leopard without risking losing your hand , arm and even your life in the attempt? And that this creature also lived in your own house and was as affectionate as a domestic cat? You do not need to continue giving free rein to your imagination because this animal exists and is called a Bengali cat . We tell you more about this wild-looking domestic cat.
The Bengali cat is the result of the action of man since it comes from a cross between an Asian leopard cat and a domestic feline made in 1963 by the American geneticist Jean Sugden Mill. Owner of a tabby coat reminiscent of that of the leopard, a muscular body and somewhat larger than that of the common cat (males), long and strong legs and almond-shaped eyes , the Bengali cat maintains its wild genes with a unique meow, similar to a chirping or cooing, the occasional temporary emotional imbalance and a great predilection for water, as in the Norwegian forest. He is a very good swimmer and will sneak into your bathtub as soon as you are careless (keep an eye on him!).
As we always recommend, before buying an animal, think that there are thousands waiting to be adopted and that they deserve a new opportunity to be loved and have a family of humans that really cares about them. If despite this there is no one who takes away the idea of having a Bengali cat at home, we will tell you a little more about its personality, health, care and behavior. In advance, I can tell you that although this kitten does not require great care and usually enjoys an iron health, it contains a lot of energy inside that needs to be released daily with games and movement so if you spend a lot of time away from home, it is better to choose another type of pet, because if it stays alone for many hours, the animal could become depressed and given its energetic nature, not stop doing mischief at home like these pets who were caught with their legs in the dough.
