Bus and train stations in Seville, Spain

There are two bus stations in Seville and a train station with excellent connections throughout Andalusia . The main bus station, in the Plaza de las Armas, is in the center of the city, while the other two are a little further away.

From Seville by bus or train?

  • To Madrid The train is much faster.
  • To Córdoba Just 45 minutes by train, this is obvious. Read about a guided tour of Córdoba from Seville
  • To Granada There is little difference between bus and train times and prices, so choose the one that is most convenient to transfer from your accommodation to the station. See also: Guided tour of Granada (inc Alhambra) from Seville
  • To Malaga The train is usually faster, but some buses are not much slower.
  • To Ronda Take the bus from Prado de San Sebastián bus station.
  • To Cádiz and Jerez Similar price and travel time, but the Prado de San Sebastián bus station is more central than the train station.
  • To Barcelona Take the train or fly.
  • To Lisbon Take the bus from the Plaza de Armas or the Prado de San Sebastián.
  • To Faro Take the bus from Plaza de Armas. 

Santa Justa Train Station

This is the main train station in Seville. You will often see ‘ Sevilla San Bernardo ‘ lit up – ignore it and select Santa Justa. San Bernardo is just a metro and local train stop.

  • Where is? A little out of downtown on Kansas Avenue, you will most likely need to take a taxi to your hotel from here.
    • Alternatively, avoid having a confusing conversation in sign language and book a private transfer:

  • Nearest metro: Santa Justa does not yet have a metro station: the closest is Nervión.
  • To travel to: As the only train station in Seville, all train routes from Seville start here, including the AVE high-speed train.

Plaza de las Armas bus station

  • Where is? Next to the river, in front of the shopping center, on Avenida Torneo. Just two minutes walk from the bullring.
  • Nearest metro: none. But the Plaza de Armas is a short walk from the city center.
  • To travel to: The Plaza de las Armas bus station is the station you need for domestic trips. From here you can take a bus to Salamanca, Madrid, León, Cáceres, Bilbao and San Sebastián, as well as Lisbon and Lagos in Portugal. You can also get to Matalascañas (Seville’s closest beach) and Huelva from Plaza de las Armas, but for most routes within Andalusia, see the Prado de San Sebastián bus station (below).

Prado de San Sebastián Bus Station

  • Where is? Not far from Plaza España in c / Manuel Vázquez Sagastizabal. A 15 minute walk from the city center. Tel: 954 41 71 11
  • Nearest metro: Prado de San Sebastián .
  • To travel mainly to the regional services of Andalusia, including Algeciras, Almería, Cádiz, Conil, Córdoba, Gilbraltar, Granada, Jerez, Marbella, Ronda and Tarifa. But for Huelva and Matalascañas (the closest beach in Seville), see the bus station in Plaza de las Armas (above).
