Carolina Renaissance Festival Information

Founded in 1993, the Carolina Renaissance Festival is one of the largest ren fairs in the country, averaging 200,000 annual visitors. The entire festival is held in the town of Huntersville, North Carolina, near Charlotte.

The fictional town of Fairhaven provides the setting for the Carolina Renaissance Festival, which features 1,000 artists and performers, arts and crafts, handmade jewelry, glassblowing demonstrations and, of course, food from the medieval area. It really wouldn’t be a festival without giant turkey legs or fish and chips.

In addition to watching the daily jousts, visitors can try their hand at archery, crossbow shooting, ax throwing, and other vintage games and events.

The 2018 festival will take place on Saturdays and Sundays, from September 29 to November 18.
