The presentation of the new “CUPRA” brand is a clear example of SEAT’s renewed future. The brand begins its journey with a pilot experience in Barcelona that will feature ten electric cars and from which, possibly, a new Car Share project will emerge.
Along the same lines, SEAT has acquired 100% of the operator Respiro, which is dedicated to hourly car rental in Madrid. At the moment, the Spanish start-up has 200 multi-brand vehicles, and the medium-term intention is to replace them with SEAT cars and expand the business to other Spanish cities.
Another novelty will be a new mobile application capable of identifying songs and even downloading their lyrics. The manufacturer will be a pioneer in this type of initiative, and the new app will leave the factory on SEAT models from April.
A future without accidents
SEAT is committed to a short-term future without accidents. For example, the León Cristóbal has 15 components designed exclusively to achieve maximum safety. Its breathalyzer control system inside the car that prevents circulation if the result is positive, speed control and distance limitation by mobile are some of its innovations.
With the aim of positioning SEAT in the mobility of the future, SEAT METROPOLIS LAB was also born, which works and investigates in the same line of work: improving mobility and developing revolutionary changes in the sector that improve safety and the user experience.
Today, SEAT offers a completely renewed and modernized range capable of meeting the challenges for a future with new demands in terms of communication and safety.
