As of the 2010 census, Waldorf’s population was 67,752. The racial makeup was 33.2 percent White, 52.5 percent African American, 5.9 percent Hispanic or Latino, 0.5 percent Native American, 3.9 percent Asian, 0.07 percent Pacific Islander, 0.2 percent of other races, and 3.8 percent. of two or more races. The estimated median household income in 2009 was $ 91,988.

Van-Go, a bus system, is administered by Charles County. MTA Maryland has four commuter routes: 901, 903, 905, and 907. The closest subway station is Branch Avenue.

- Dr. Samuel A. Mudd Museum – The house and farm commemorate the life of the doctor who treated John Wilkes Booth’s injured leg after he assassinated President Abraham Lincoln in April 1865.

- Regency Furniture Stadium – The 4,200-seat baseball park is home to the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, a minor league baseball team that plays in the Professional Baseball Athletic League.
- Capital Clubhouse – 90,000-square-foot indoor sports center features an NHL-sized ice rink, rock climbing wall, two multi-sport courts, a gym, multiple classes, special events, a snack bar, and party rooms .
