Fair Discounts and Coupons from Washington State

Want to save some money on your Washington State Fair tickets? Not all! Between paying for parking, admission, food, and rides, doing the Puyallup adds up. Every year the fair gets a little more expensive, but not going is not an option! Fortunately, there are several ways to save money on fair admission, as well as rides, attractions, and food within the fair.

Parking offers

Parking in fairground lots will cost you $ 15, which is not cheap, and yet parking in fairground lots also brings you closer to the gates. The best way to save money on parking is to go to the fair on a weekday when parking in official lots is $ 10 instead of $ 15.

If you’re not averse to walking a little (or a lot) and don’t mind looking for a spot, there are other options to save on parking. Many companies in the blocks surrounding the fair rent their lots. The closer they are to the fair, the more expensive they are, but most are cheaper than parking in the fairground lots. Many local residents also rent their patios and driveways. If you’re interested in these options, just make sure you don’t pay more than it would cost to park in the official lots.

If you don’t mind walking, it’s not impossible to park for free either. Many of the streets around the fair have street parking, but there is some competition for these. You will have better luck during peak hours and on weekdays. Make sure to be courteous and not to block anyone’s driveway as well, or you might come back and find you’ve been towed!

If you want to totally avoid parking all together, there are also shuttle buses and other ways to get to the fair without your car.

Fair admission coupons and discounts

  1. Some schools (especially in Puyallup) give discount tickets or free tickets to their students.
  2. If you bring a donation of non-perishable food on opening day between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm, you will get in for free.
  3. If you buy tickets on the fair website in advance, you will get a couple of dollars off. This agreement ends the day before the fair opens.
  4. Fred Meyer offers value packages, which are great for couples or families. These include two tickets, $ 10 food, 6 rides, and discounted weekday parking, all for one flat fee. In 2018, the cost of the Value Pack is $ 38.95. This is also one of the best ways to ride some rides at the most reasonable price.
  1. Discount admission tickets are available at select Albertsons, Safeway, and South Hill Mall in the weeks before the fair.
  2. If you buy concert tickets at any of the Fair concerts, you will also get free admission to the fair.
  3. If you want to go more than once, get a season pass to get admission to all days of the fair, discounted parking, and other offers.
  4. Labor Day weekend, August 31-September 3, is free for all children under 18 years of age.

Military Member Offers

Free admission on Mondays for active, retired and reserve military members, as well as members of the National Guard. You also get dependents for free!

Discounts and travel coupons

  1. To get the most bang for your buck, Dizzy Passes are the only way to do it! For a flat rate, you can ride unlimited rides all day (excluding some premium rides). Buy your Dizzy Pass online between mid-July and the day before the show starts and you’ll get a little more discount. The dizzying passes are often certain days of the fair, so if you want to travel as you please, check when the passes are and plan accordingly.
  2. To board a trip, you will need tickets or a Dizzy Pass bracelet. Trips can take anywhere from a couple of tickets to five, six, or seven tickets. More exciting rides take more tickets. You can buy tickets one by one, but if you intend to go on more than one trip, the best deal is to buy packages. Even if you don’t get a Dizzy Pass, ticket packages can save you more than buying at the single ticket fare.
  1. Fred Meyer Value Packages generally include travel tickets. These tickets are a great deal.

Fair food deals

  1. Fred Meyer Value Packs include food dollars, which can be used to buy fair food.
  2. On Thursdays at Brew Park, those 21 and older can enjoy eight 5-ounce samples of beer or cider plus a collectible glass for $ 30.
