Hyundai Tucson 2021: more is more and better

Hyundai has unveiled the fourth generation of the Hyundai Tucson, the firm’s best-selling model with seven million units registered since its launch in 2004 . Of all of them, 1.4 million have been made in Europe, a market that has opened the doors of its garages to new products and manufacturers until now minority. A job well done and a change in the focus of its development have allowed Hyundai to position its models in the top of mind of some customers, competing with longtime brands. The Tucson is the best example. Its evolution has been continuous, improving in key aspects such as design, the incorporation of more technological equipment and the presence of clean propulsion alternatives . However, with this new batch they have hit the nail on the head. The revolution is evident thanks to the new design language Sensuous Sportliness, shown in previous prototypes and from which it adopts winks such as parametric hidden lights .

The striking front end is just a taste of everything that this new Hyundai Tucson has to offer. Its edgy exterior lives up to expectations and makes way for a clean, digital compact SUV. The waterfall-inspired shapes are repeated throughout the cabin, which debuts a 10.25-inch central screen and the touch-screen heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. That is, everything will be controlled through touch commands, dispensing with the buttons and controls from before. The instrumentation has been replaced by a digital screen, also 10.25 inches , and the outer casing is lost, so the dashboard reaches from the driver’s door to the passenger’s door.

They have also improved and expanded their range of engines. The new Hyundai Tucson will be available with blocks gasoline, gasoline with light hybridization of 48 volts, diesel, diesel with microhybridization (48V), self-charging hybrid system and plug-in hybrid system, of which we only know their combined power of 256 hp . Its arrival is expected before the end of the year but we still do not know prices. We can suspect an increase compared to the previous model, derived from the greater presence of safety systems and driving assistance, a design more focused on the premium customer and previous work on the development of efficient propellants.
