In tough times, even the most established companies have to figure out how to get ahead, obtain extra benefits and be able to continue working on new, riskier projects. After the announcement of ‘God of War: Collection’, a compilation with the adventures of Kratos remastered to support the HD and even with Trophies included, Fumito Ueda’s Team Ico could have in mind to make a similar move with the works of ‘Ico ‘ and ‘ Shadow of the Colossus’ .
” I wish I could play ‘Ico’ and ‘Shadow of the Colossus’ on PS3 .” That is part of the statements that Ueda has confirmed during an interview on the Tokyo Game Show. ‘ ICO Collection’ could become reality:
” I’ve always believed that (‘Ico’ and ‘Shadow of the Colossus’) were designed for PS2 and should stay there, but I also think it would be a good idea to be able to bring those games to other platforms in search of other users.”
I will not deny that I did not think of a second meaning for Ueda’s last words, but it seems that the answer was intended to port the games to PS3 or PSP .
Sony’s laptop has all the ballots so that with the arrival of PSP Go we can go back to hitting clubs and hunting colossi, but being able to enjoy the experience on PS3 (at a reduced price, please, that many of us already pay for them in the past) could be delightful.
Surely they will wait to see what sales ‘God of War: Collection’ has but, if, as with the Kratos compilation and its long-awaited third installment, in ‘ ICO Collection’ they introduce a demo of ‘The Last Guardian’ they will sweep for sure.
