Incredible Romantic Getaways Near Seattle

Surprise your special someone with a romantic getaway! Fortunately, Seattle is ideally located with romantic spots galore within a one to three hour drive, including several resort properties with on-site or nearby amenities and activities.

And remember to book in advance to get the room or suite of your choice, as the right room with the right view can maximize romantic potential.

Read on for some romantic getaways near Seattle.

The wild iris

Located in picturesque LaConner, Washington, a stay at the Wild Iris offers the finest guest suites with a king bed, large jetted tubs, fireplace, cozy bathrobes and more. It is just a four block walk from downtown LaConner, where you can shop for boutiques according to your wishes. Take your date to the charming Bunnies by the Bay store, which has plush gifts and adorable baby gifts, and its iconic location right next door offers its signature bunny designs. Look for the carrot fence.

Then head over to LaConner Brewing Company for dinner and request the table by the fireplace for a romantic dinner.

Salish Lodge & Spa

This romantic mountain getaway is a haven for the soul. Just 30 miles from Seattle, this luxury hotel sits right on top of the stunning and beautiful Snoqualmie Falls next door. There are trails around the area, great for a romantic stroll, including one where you can sit and gaze at the falls, which drop 268 feet off a cliff. Salish Lodge & Spa has a spa and restaurant on-site, so you won’t have to go far to up the ante on the romance factor. There are also romantic packages available.

If you venture to the nearby town of Snoqualmie, you’ll find a cute little town with little shops to explore. Snoqualmie Brewery and Taproom is not far away and is a great stop for beer-loving couples.

Willows Lodge

There is a reason why there is more than one hostel on this list. The lodges may sound quaint in their name, but the Washington lodges are great and are located in some of the most beautiful locations the state has to offer. Willows Lodge has double appeal, both for its cabin atmosphere and its location in the Woodinville wine country. It’s hard to beat a wine tasting weekend for romance. Drive, bike or walk to some of Woodinville’s wineries (Chateau Ste. Michelle is within walking distance).

But also be sure to make the most of what Willows Lodge has to offer, including two sublime restaurants: Barking Frog or The Herb Farm. Yes, it is expensive, but it is worth it. Or schedule a couples massage at the spa. You really can’t go wrong.

Tulalip Resort & Casino

For a high-end experience, stay at the Tulalip Resort for a night of fun at the casino. The resort has several on-site dining options, including the unique Tulalip Bay restaurant. Then take your courtesy shuttle for a short trip to the Seattle Premium Outlets for a day of shopping. Exclusive outlet stores offer designer labels, including haute couture (Burberry, Coach, Juicy Couture, Michael Kors, Kate Spade) with more than 100 outdoor stores. You will feel like you are in a smaller version of Las Vegas.

Skamania Lodge

Located near Stevenson, Washington, Skamania Lodge is an inherently romantic destination. The lodge is perched on a lookout over the Columbia River. Book a river view room with a fireplace and you won’t be disappointed, as the views here are far-reaching, heading straight for Columbia and highlighted by endless evergreens. There are outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the area, but the lodge has a zip line, restaurants, hiking trails, a hot tub and pool, a spa, golf, and an outdoor fire pit where you can roast marshmallows for s’mores.

In winter, the hostel is a winter wonderland. In the summer, it’s a recreational wonderland… and don’t miss the outdoor hot tub!

Suncadia Resort

Like Skamania, Suncadia echoes the great hunting lodges of yesteryear, but now with exclusive, modern amenities that ensure a romantic weekend away. Suncadia is not just a resort, but a vacation community as well, so there is plenty to do on the property. Go hiking, golf, or book a spa treatment or massage. There are a few restaurants in the complex to choose from, including a cafe, lounge, and a great dining experience, but the highlight is that there is a winery! Just steps from the main building, Swiftwater Cellars Winery adds an extra touch of romance that most resorts simply cannot offer.
