Little Rock has many different areas and many different types of shopping centers. These are some of the main ones.
University area
The University Area is the location of our largest indoor shopping center, Park Plaza. You will find stores with national names in this area, but not many boutique stores.
- Park Plaza Mall : Dillard’s, Gap, Limited, Banana Republic, American Eagle, Victoria’s Secret, Build-a-Bear, and other similar retailers can be found in this mall. This is the closest Little Rock gets to a typical mall. Restaurants include fast food (David’s Burgers, Chick-fil-A).
- Midtowne Little Rock – One of Little Rock’s Newest Malls, Midtowne has many high-end stores, including the White House | Black Market, Pottery Barn, Ann Taylor LOFT, J. Jill, Jos. A. Bank and Williams-Sonoma. Restaurants include Starbucks, Cantina Laredo, and Pei Wei Asian Diner.
- Park Avenue : Another new Little Rock shopping area has a super Target as its anchor. Target is the only one in the state that has a full-service grocery department.
- Other stores in the area include a Kroger, Walgreens, Murry’s Dinner Theater, and several fast food outlets.
Cantrell area
Cantrell has many local and specialty stores. There are some large national name stores in Pleasant Ridge, but the other malls are home to smaller local stores.
- Pavilion in the park : many unique local shops and Trio’s restaurant. Everything from baby clothes to a spa can be found at Pavilion in the Park. Cantrell Highway.
- Pleasant Ridge Town Center – This is another of Little Rock’s newest luxury stores with stores like Belk, AT&T store, The Fresh Market, Fleet Feet Sports, Cobblestone and Vine, Beyond Cotton, Coming Home, Forsythe’s, and The Everyday Chef. Restaurants include Bar Louie, Bonefish Grill, Chipotle, and Istanbul. 11525 Cantrell Road.
- Hillcrest and the Heights – Driving through Kavanaugh will take you to many upscale boutiques including Box Turtle (one-of-a-kind jewelry and clothing), Bella Boutique, Haus Werk (home decor and clothing), Gallery 26 (Art), and The Heights Toy Center . There are many restaurants in this area. Some favorites include Ferneau, Vieux Carre, Chica Baci, The Oyster Bar, Damgoode Pies, and Canon Grill.
- You can find other smaller malls throughout Cantrell with some great local shops.
Rodney Parham Area
Many specialty stores and local stores.
- Trellis Square : Trellis Square is a small shopping center that has some shops and services. Purchases include Cecil jewelry, lights, and J. Pruitt shoes. Located at 10720 Rodney Parham Road.
- Breckenridge Village : Breckenridge Village features the UA Breckenridge Village movie theater and the Looney Bin Comedy Club. For the kids, you will find The Wonder Place. If you are looking for men’s clothing, try Greenhaw’s Menswear. Applause Fashion Boutique is a popular spot for prom and prom dresses. Located at 10301 N Rodney Parham Rd.
- Ashley Square : Ashley Square is home to many of the national retailers found in Rodney Parham. Sally’s Beauty, Dollar Tree, Vitamins Plus, Drug Emporium and more. Located at 9100 Rodney Parham.
- The Village: The Village is one of the largest malls in the Rodney Parham area and features Guillermo’s Coffee and GNC. If you’re looking for gifts, try The Crown Shop, a card and novelty shop. Services found here include Staffmark Office Staffing, SuperCuts, and Serenity Salon. Located at 10700 N Rodney Parham Rd.
Chenal Parkway y Bowman
Chenal and Bowman have luxury stores and national chains. They are also the busiest Walmart location in Little Rock (2700 S Shackleford Rd). You’ll find Best Buy, At Home, and restaurants like IHOP and On the Border.
- Chenal Place – A little further west of Chenal is Staples, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Men’s Wearhouse, GameStop, and a few furniture stores. 12319 Chenal Parkway
- Colonnade Mall : Little Ceasars, T-Mobile and many dentists and doctor’s offices. 315 North Bowman Road.
- Chenal Commons : Across the street from Target (12700 Chenal Parkway), you’ll find an Old Navy, PetCo, David’s Bridal, Dress Barn, and Shoe Carnival.
- Chenal Creek : Jos A Bank, Taziki’s Cafe, and Cold Stone Creamery
- Rock Creek Plaza : has JJ’s Grill, El Porton restaurant and Hobby Lobby. Located near Walmart in Bowman.
- Shackelford Crossings – Has JC Penny, Shelf Room Shoes, Sprint, Cracker Barrel, Panda Garden Restaurant, and Copeland’s. It is quite close to a Wal-Mart.
- The Promenade at Chenal – An upscale new shopping mall that is home to Little Rock’s only IMAX theater and stores like Anthropologie, DSW Shoes, Nike, and J.Crew. The center has six restaurants, including Bravo. Cucina Italiana and Ya Ya’s Euro Bistro.
