Weeks after the release of Cyberpunk 2077, a wave of criticism of the game prompted both Sony and Microsoft to decide to change their digital returns policy for the CD Projekt title. This meant that the work could be returned and the user asked for a full refund of the money.
Now, the American company has announced that this measure already has an end date. It will be next July 6 when Cyberpunk 2077 returns to the same status as the rest of the games in the Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S catalog. The reasons behind this decision come from the fact that the Polish developer has ostensibly improved the game.
Both copies already purchased and new ones made after that date will be affected again by Microsoft’s normal policy. This means that you are still eligible for a money back, but this will be determined by Microsoft upon request.
This modification coincides in time with the return of Cyberpunk 2077 to the PlayStation Store, a more drastic measure that Sony took and which has also ended when seeing the continuous work to improve the work . Meanwhile, the futuristic title has registered fewer returns than expected and its number of crashes among users has dropped dramatically.
