The actor Nicolas Cage is considered an eccentric. Now talks about his unusual pet.

Berlin – Oscar winner Nicolas Cage (58, “Leaving Las Vegas”) keeps a crow as a pet. “Crows are very intelligent. And I like her looks, the Edgar Allan Poe aspect. I like the goth element. I’m a goth,” the actor (last name in German: Höhle) told the Los Angeles Times.

Cage also revealed the name of the unusual pet in the interview: Hoogan. According to the newspaper, the crow lives in a dome in Cage’s Las Vegas home. The animal also got used to insulting him. “It’s funny, at least for me,” the actor was quoted as saying. In addition to the crow, Cage has other pets: two cats named Merlin and Teegra.

Earlier this month it was announced that Cage and his wife Riko Shibata (27) are expecting their first child together. “The parents-to-be are very pleased,” People magazine quoted a spokesman for the couple as saying. Cage has two sons, Kal-El, 16, and Weston, 31, from previous relationships.

The actor, who turned 58 on January 7, and the Japanese-born married in Las Vegas last February. This is Cage’s fifth marriage. He was previously married to fellow actor Patricia Arquette and Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” Elvis Presley, among others. dpa
