OKC Public Transport
Oklahoma City’s public transportation system is called EMBARK, formerly METRO Transit. Created in 1966 by the City of Oklahoma City and serving an estimated 3 million passengers annually, EMBARK is responsible for:
- Bus service in Oklahoma City and Midwest City with express to Norman
- The Downtown Discovery (free)
- Off-street public parking center
- Oklahoma River Cruises
Bus fares
As of August 2018, the fare for a single bus trip to Oklahoma City is $ 1.75. A one-way express fare is $ 3.00.
The “Special Pattern” rates are available to seniors (60+), people with disabilities, Medicare cardholders, and children ages 7-17. To qualify for a reduced disability rate, one must submit an application.
Children 6 and under travel for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Unlimited travel passes are valid for 30 days, 7 days or 1 day.
Buy tickets or passes
Passengers can pay for Oklahoma City bus tickets, of course, on the bus through exact change. Additionally, bus tickets and passes can be purchased at the customer service window at the Downtown Transit Center (420 NW 5th St.).
