Parents are inspired by Instagram filters to name their children

The choice of the baby’s name is a very thoughtful decision and something that makes future parents very excited. Inspiration can come from various places: family heritage, celebrities, television, cinema, the internet, and why not, also from Instagram filters .

The latest trend, according to a survey conducted by BabyCenter, is that younger parents are giving their children names inspired by the filters of this social network . The most popular is Lux , which in 2015 rose in popularity by 75 percent compared to last year.

Among boys, Ludwig, Amaro, Reyes, Hudson and Kelvin have increased in popularity, while among girls the most used names inspired by Instagram filters were Juno, Valencia and Willow .

The data has been obtained from a survey carried out among 340 thousand parents around the world, although at the moment none of these names has managed to enter the top 10 of the list of names (in English), which according to the survey are the following:
