Peugeot at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show

Two world launches and new hybrid gasoline engines have been the agents capable of putting the French manufacturer in the spotlight at this edition of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

In these times, to monopolize the objectives of the press in a show is no longer valid only with the presentation of a concept or a model, however spectacular it may be. You have to give much more: and that is exactly what the French brand has done this year. Peugeot has created a script using three pillars that, although perfectly differentiated from each other, all come together with a common denominator: electrification.

The lion is king at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show

If there is something that characterizes this Hall, it is how comfortable and accessible it is. It helps us quickly locate brands, and that allows communication professionals to take advantage of time (never excess) to be able to face the marathon day that awaits us.

Once inside the Geneva Motor Show, locating the “Lion” brand is not very difficult. An immense animal figure in a metallic-looking material presides over the beginning of the stand, thus dispelling any doubt that we are in front of the Peugeot brand.

As I mentioned, this year the French manufacturer has developed a presentation through a multiple concept that is developed through three chapters:

  • The new Peugeot 208 with the 100% electric version called the E-208
  • The Concept 508 Sport Engineered
  • The staging of the new Plug-In Hybrid Gasoline engines

With the presentation of the new 208 we are facing the new design language of the manufacturer and we are also facing the first 100% electric model that, in addition to sharing an exact image with the models with combustion engines, will be manufactured on the same assembly line.

Being at the forefront and leading a segment is not only achieved with a spectacular design, that is why Peugeot has equipped it in safety with Drive Assist and also with the avant-garde technology that the Mirror Screen and the TomTom origin 3D navigator have in connectivity.

The second pillar that the French manufacturer has put into play in this edition of the Show has been the presentation of the 508 Concept Sport Engineered . It is an exercise where electrical technology is brought together at its most efficient end culminated in the sportier version provided by the specialized department of the manufacturer Peugeot Sport .

And finally, the French brand does not lose the possibility of reminding us that the future and the electrification of the models in a complete offer are reaching a point of coincidence in time closer and closer. On this occasion, Peugeot has presented the new Plug In Hybrid Gasoline engines. We will see them in the 3008 and 508 models throughout this year.

Well they say that the lion is the king of the jungle. We affirm that, in addition, he is the king of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
