Men who exercise often have better erectile and sexual function, regardless of their race, according to a recent study carried out by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (USA) and published in The Journal. of Sexual Medicine .
For the study, the experts had the participation of 300 individuals, grouping them according to their level of physical exercise: null or sedentary, light, moderate or intense. The volunteers filled out a questionnaire about their sexual function regarding their ability to reach orgasm, how often and how often they had erections, and their overall sexual function.
Examination of the data revealed that those men who exercised more frequently (both 3.5 hours of moderate exercise per week and 6 hours of light exercise per week) had better scores in their sexual function regardless of race, compared to those with almost zero physical activity.
" This study is the first to link the benefits of exercise in relation to improving erectile function and sexual function in a racially diverse group of patients," explains Adriana Vidal, leader of the study.
“When it comes to exercise, there is no one-size-fits-all. However, we are confident that even a certain degree of exercise, although less intense, is better than doing nothing at all, ”says study co-author Stephen Freedland.
