Prince Andrews trial: Queen hires the "Rottweiler" for her son

Prince Andrew faces a sexual abuse lawsuit. He keeps a low profile and hires a notorious lawyer.

London – Prince Andrew is getting serious. The second eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II has received a lawsuit for the sexual abuse of a minor in the United States. Prince Andrew received the documents on August 27, 2021. A representative of the plaintiff Virginia Guiffre presented them to a police officer at the entrance to the royal residence in Windor, England.

Prince Andrew: Sexual abuse lawsuit

Virginia Guiffre accuses Prince Andrew of abusing her several times in 2001. The then 17-year-old was forced to have sex with the prince by entrepreneur Jeffrey Epstein. According to Guiffre, the sexual abuse took place in the London house of Epstein’s friend Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as in Epstein’s house in New York and on his private island in the Caribbean.

Virginia Guiffre seeks damages from Prince Andrew. She filed the lawsuit in a civil court in New York on August 9, 2021. The first hearing is scheduled for Monday (September 13th, 2021), but Prince Andrew does not have to appear.

Sexual abuse charges: Prince Andrew “hides” behind Queen Elizabeth

The sexual abuse allegations against Prince Andrew have been in the room since 2019. The prince has denied it so far. He states that he does not remember the meetings. After a failed interview in 2019, however, he resigned from his royal duties.

Even after submitting the lawsuit, Prince Andrew does not comment. He is said to be staying at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, the country home of Queen Elizabeth II. There Andrew is said to have participated in a hunting party with “dubious guests” on Saturday (09/11/2021), two days before the sexual abuse hearing. He pretends nothing is there. This is reported by the British newspaper The Sun on Sunday, citing sources within the Royals. It looks like he’s running to his mother, hiding behind her and she’s taking care of him, The Sun quotes another source. He must face his responsibility. Running away instead of fighting will make Andrew look irresponsible and guilty even if he isn’t, the insider said on the Sun.

However, Prince Andrew’s staff is said to have put together a team of highly qualified lawyers, reports the British newspaper The Mail on Sunday. Among them should be Blair Besk, who already represented numerous celebrities. These include Harvey Weinstein, Britney Spears, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mel Gibson. Besk is one of the best in the business, The Mail quotes a lawyer who knows her. “She doesn’t compromise. If anyone can clear Andrew’s name, it is her ”. Blair Busk’s nickname is “The Rottweiler”.
