Exclusive early access agreements are becoming more prevalent on this generation of consoles. So much so that not even Rockstar itself can escape them .
Sony has announced a partnership between PlayStation and Rockstar Games that will result in two major announcements for fans of both brands. On the one hand, PS4 users will receive a preview of selected content from the online mode of ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ and on the other, the original ‘Red Dead Redemption’ will be added to the PlayStation Now catalog.
Since last August, the PlayStation Now service arrived on the PC, offering a catalog of games and streaming services that until recently could only be enjoyed on PlayStation systems. We are talking about games like ‘Uncharted’, ‘Journey’, ‘The Last of Us’ and soon the epic adventure of John Marston.
To have PlayStation Now we will only need a DualShock 4, a USB adapter to connect it to the PC and have a computer with the requirements recommended by Sony. In other words, it will not be necessary to have a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 to play these games . The bad new? At the moment in Europe you can only enjoy this service in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Belgium.
According to Sony, ‘Red Dead Redemption’ will add to the proposal of more than 400 games of the service very soon . However, while waiting for Sony to put the batteries in and announce the arrival of this service in Spain , for now we will have to wait a little longer to see Rockstar’s vision of the Wild West without having the console plugged in.
