After the binge of releases that we hit last November, December arrives with its usual calm. Companies try to have all their big bombs ready weeks before the Christmas season starts, so it’s not uncommon for the last month of the year to be so quiet.
It is true that some very prominent titles will arrive among the small amount, but only as specific exceptions in a month where few news will knock on our door. The respite is appreciated having so much work pending in November, right? We are going to enter fully into the release guide without having to separate by platforms due to the few mentions that will be made.
We started talking about ‘Star Wars: The Old Republic’ , the massive online multiplayer that EA intends to turn into a new benchmark of the genre for the next few years. With a studio of the stature of BioWare behind it and a gigantic budget for the Force to flow freely, the battle for the Old Republic will begin on PC on the 22nd.
The galactic battles will have to share the limelight this month with ‘Mario Kart 7’ , a title that will undoubtedly help the sales of Nintendo 3DS. All the consoles of this company must have their corresponding chapter in a saga that is synonymous with fun without complexes, this time with the added component of the three-dimensional effect to be able to enjoy watching the red shells on the way to our rivals. On sale tomorrow.
We return to the PC because tomorrow the compatible edition of ‘Assassin’s Creed: Revelations’ will also go on sale, a title that is already available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Also here we can choose between the standard or collector version, although both will be in price below the console installments, so that’s a good reason to have waited.
Things are so weak that one of the most prominent releases of the month is for mobile phones, more specifically for the iOS platform. I am referring to ‘Infinity Blade II’ , the second installment of one of the most prominent licenses that have been released on Apple computers, and which is already on sale to take the graphic possibilities of these terminals to the limit.
Other mentions to be made are ‘Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy’ and ‘Pokemon Rumble Blast’ for 3DS tomorrow, ‘Just Dance 3’ for PlayStation 3 on the 8th and ‘Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone’ for PS3 on the 14th. it is little content, but we are not going to skip the tradition of offering everything well organized and ready to be followed on the digital calendar.
