October is going to be one of the great months of this 2011, and you just have to take a look at the image that heads this article to verify that authentic dynamite is coming. We are facing one of those months in which, for the sake of our pockets, we have to be prudent when making our purchases, because the temptations are many.
Too bad that, once again, Wii and portable platforms are going to be so calm when it comes to news. We will leave them for the end with what little they have, and we start the review with the compatible ones, which this October will be the main protagonists, especially thanks to two very powerful shooters.
PC launches: the battlefield is your computer
It has been a long wait, but on October 28, ‘Battlefield 3’ finally goes on sale. Never before has the EA saga aroused so much interest from the gaming community, so much so that some argue that it could endanger the hegemony of the ‘Call of Duty’ of the day. What a battle awaits us.
But as I have already said, there are two shooters that will delight the keyboard and mouse during October, as the id Software masters will launch a very attractive new franchise with ‘Rage’. Little more can be added to this launch announced for the 7th, and that guarantees hours of pure action, also with a version for Mac.
Luckily for the variety of tastes, not all the bombings will be subjective shooters, because also in the coming weeks ‘Batman: Arkham City’ will be released . After a fabulous first installment that convinced practically everyone, Rocksteady sets out for a much more ambitious sequel, which could well become one of the benchmarks of adventure in this generation. Expect him on the 21st.
In the section of other releases to consider, we have ‘The Cursed Crusade’ on the 7th, the extension ‘Dragon Age 2: Mark of the Assassin’ on the 11th, ‘Orcs Must Die!’ on the 12th, ‘Might & Magic: Heroes VI’ , ‘Renegade Ops’ , ‘ WRC 2′ and the extension ‘Dead Rising 2: Off The Record’ on the 14th, ‘The Sims 3: Pets’ on the 20th, and for finish ‘Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’ and ‘Football Manager 2012’ on the 21st.

PS3 releases: post-apocalyptic rage
Shooters will also be protagonists on consoles, and here we must also finally add the arrival of ‘Crysis’ . Without a doubt, it is better late than never, and even more so when it is such an interesting title. Its distribution will take place digitally from day 5, and of course with news to compensate for the long waiting time.
It is also essential to highlight the premiere of ‘Dark Souls’ , a role-playing game that aims to become a challenge to patience due to its high doses of difficulty and depth. This promising successor to the recommended ‘Demons’ Souls’ will go on sale in our territory on the 7th.
More role of Japanese spirit with ‘Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten’ , which only a few months after its premiere in Japan will arrive in Europe, to the satisfaction of the many fans of this cult saga. Its launch is marked on the calendar on October 28.
To all this we must add titles already mentioned above on PC or otherwise such as ‘ Chrono Trigger ‘ tomorrow, ‘ NBA Jam: On Fire Edition ‘ and ‘ Payday: The Heist ‘ on the 5th, ‘ Rage ‘ , ‘ The Cursed Crusade ‘ and ‘ NBA 2K12 ‘ on the 7th, ‘ Dragon Age 2: Mark of the Assassin ‘ on the 11th, ‘ Ace Combat: Assault Horizon ‘ , ‘ WRC 2 ‘ , ‘ Spider-Man: Edge of Time ‘ and ‘ Dead Rising 2: Off The Record ‘ on the 14th, ‘ The Sims 3: Pets ‘ on the 20th, ‘ Batman: Arkham City ‘ and ‘ Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn ‘ on the 21st, the expansion ‘ Infamous 2: Festival of Blood ‘ on the 25th, and finally ‘ Battlefield 3 ‘ , ‘ House of the Dead: Extended Cut ‘ , ‘ Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi ‘ and ‘ Disney Universe ‘ on the 28th.

Xbox 360 Releases: Love of Asphalt
The big Xbox 360 highlight this month is loaded with gas, tires, gears and a lot of asphalt to go at top speed. ‘Forza Motorsport 4’ is now ready to start its career to become the new benchmark driving simulator. Will it succeed? On October 14 we will be able to verify it.
One of the main novelties of the Turn 10 racing title will be the addition of Kinect, but this peripheral will have more uses during this month. For this we must highlight the arrival of ‘Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster’ , the new from Double Fine Productions that is announced for the 14th, and of ‘Kinect Sports Season 2’ , which will wait until the 28th.
Of the aforementioned releases, ‘Crysis’ on sale tomorrow, ‘ NBA Jam: On Fire Edition’ and ‘Orcs Must Die!’ Are also valid here. on the 5th, ‘Rage’ , ‘Dark Souls’ , ‘ The Cursed Crusade ‘ and ‘ NBA 2K12 ‘ on the 7th, ‘ Dragon Age 2: Mark of the Assassin ‘ and ‘ Just Dance 3 ‘ on the 11th, ‘ Ace Combat : Assault Horizon ‘ , ‘ WRC 2 ‘ , ‘ Spider-Man: Edge of Time ‘ and ‘ Dead Rising 2: Off The Record ‘ on the 14th, ‘ The Sims 3: Pets’ on the 20th, ‘Batman: Arkham City’ and ‘Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’ on the 21st, and finally ‘Battlefield 3’ , ‘Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi’ and ‘Disney Universe’ on the 28th.

Other platforms: calm chicha
As I have already said, very little to scratch on the rest of the platforms. We started with Wii, where it is only worth noting ‘Just Dance 3’ on the 11th, ‘Spider-Man: Edge of Time’ on the 14th and ‘Disney Universe’ on the 28th. Nothing to go crazy about, of course, but luckily the next month our beloved Link will arrive to return the emotion to this console.
PSP and 3DS will share the arrivals of ‘Spider-Man: Edge of Time’ on the 14th and of ‘Naruto Shippuden Nin Rittai Emaki Saikyou Ninkai Kessen !!’ on the 21st. The Nintendo laptop will also have ‘The Sims 3: Pets’ on the 20th, and the return of ‘Tetris’ and ‘Captain America: Super Soldier’ on the 21st.
