About rococo chocolates
Rococo Chocolates was founded in 1983 by Chantal Coady, a graduate of the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts. His passion for chocolate and his strong belief that there was room for a radically different approach to chocolate led to the decision to open a shop on King’s Road (Chelsea, London).
Chantal Coady has become the author of many books on chocolate and has expanded the Rococo Chocolates from the original Kings Road store to include Marylebone High Street and the flagship store with its own cafe, kitchen and chocolate school on Motcomb St in the heart of Belgravia.
Rococo School of Chocolate on Motcomb Street is the perfect place to learn about all things chocolate. They offer a variety of workshops, classes and tastings for adults and children, from beginners to experts. It is also a great option for a group reservation for a birthday party.
The Rococo Chocolate School is next door to the Rococo Chocolate shop in Belgravia, near Knightsbridge.
Address: 5 Motcomb Street, London SW1X 8JU

Ideas for children’s parties
All kids love chocolate, so teach them about the best chocolate from a young age. The Rococó Chocolate School has a variety of classes for children including a Chocolate Cooking Workshop as a great introduction to chocolate to build your child’s confidence in the kitchen, and a Chocolate Bar Making workshop where children cannot. They only make a chocolate bar but also spend time designing wrappers for their bars.
Advice for parents:
Why not book the kids for a chocolate class and then head to Harvey Nichols for retail therapy or Berkeley for their divine Prêt-à-Portea afternoon tea?
Chocolate classes for everyone
Visit the Rococó Chocolate School website for the latest events and classes, but to give you an idea of what is on offer:
- Tastings : The beginner’s chocolate tasting is a great introduction. A tasting of the senses will make you savor the aromas and the classic complement of a good quality chocolate bar. Bespoke chocolate pairings will help you combine chocolate and cheese, or chocolate and coffee, and much more.
- Seasonal Special : Some times of the year are more associated with chocolate, so keep an eye on the website for ideas for Valentine’s Day and especially Easter.
