London has one of the best clubbing scenes in the world. It has hundreds of nightclubs that play all kinds of music, so choosing this list was not easy. These are the best nightclub spots rather than specific club nights, as special nights come and go, but the best spots remain.
Ministry of Sound London
Ministry of Sound London attracts 5,000 people each weekend and has three dance floors and three bars. It has remained popular due to the legendary DJs it attracts, such as Pete Tong and Paul Oakenfold.
The famous sound system only works at 45% of its full capacity. If it were 100% reproduced, it would be the loudest man-made sound you can hear!
Screen
Super club Fabric presents Europe’s first bass-laden “bodysonic” dancefloor, where bass cuts through the floor for clubbers to really “feel” the music. The fabric has 5 sound systems and 3 bars on two levels and a total area of 25,000 square feet. Oh, and get ready for unisex bathrooms.
Club Aquarium
Club Aquarium has five rooms, including a pool and Jacuzzi (towels provided), and there is no other club in the UK that can make that claim! There are also two dance floors and a relaxation room, as well as a VIP room.
SIZE
KOKO is a Camden nightclub and music venue at the end of Camden High Street near Morning Crescent. The Grade II listed building is a converted theater. This 1,500-seat venue opened in 2004 and has played host to top acts such as Coldplay, Madonna, My Chemical Romance, and Prince.
Darling
Heaven is London’s best known gay club and attracts gay / straight / mixed clubbers to its regular club nights every week. It is located in railway arches below Charing Cross station, near Trafalgar Square. Heaven is very popular and has some impressive guest DJs playing the latest and greatest European dance music.
EGG
EGG has a capacity of 800, spread over 3 floors plus a terrace balcony and a central garden in the courtyard. The garden has a bar, garden furniture, artificial grass and a swimming pool in summer. The garden is the largest open space in London’s clubland, but it is popular with smokers. Visit Breakfast @ EGG for a club that starts at 5am on Sunday mornings!
Corsica Studies
This is an independent arts organization with the club in one of the railway arches behind the Elephant and Castle shopping center. It attracts students and artists who love experimental sounds, as well as dubstep and garage.
