We have all heard about the Loch Ness monster on more than one occasion. Well, now he could have had a competitor in the Lakes of Covadonga (Asturias), where a strange animal has appeared . Specifically, the being has been seen by environmental workers and visitors at Lake Enal.
The driver Jorge Toraño has spoken with “El Comercio” and has related how he saw a very strange thing when he reached the Enol when he got on the first bus of the day . He stopped the car and got out to get a better look because he couldn’t believe it. He describes the animal of the Lakes of Covadonga as a giant snake, about 15 meters long, and grayish in color: “It was something bestial .”
Then he called the colleague who was traveling with him to get off the bus, and he too was very surprised by the strange creature in the water. Toraño decided to finish the route, and, after leaving the travelers, he returned to the area with several taxi drivers. Nobody understood what was happening, but they realized that the animal was moving and was getting closer and closer to the shore .
Shortly after, another colleague told him that some visitors told him that they had seen a strange high on the lake . The driver wants someone to go see what it is. Luis Laria, president of Cepesma and a great connoisseur of Lake Enol, believes that it is most likely a large eel.
The eel is a fish with an elongated body , gray in color. Depending on the environment where it lives, it feeds on mollusks, crustaceans, aquatic insects and fish, so it is a carnivorous species. A very curious fact about her is that her skin is covered with mucus, so she can stay moist for a while out of the water, allowing her to breathe through the skin and move on land.
