Tour the USS Razorback and the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum

The USS Razorback is a 311-foot submarine that was present in Tokyo Bay at the signing of the Peace Treaty that ended World War II. It is named after the Razorback whale, but it fits perfectly into Razorback pig country. This unique submarine has won battle ribbons for WWII and Vietnam. Currently, the submarine serves as the base for the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum. Visitors can tour the submarine and get a feel for what it was really like to work on the ship.

For naval hobbyists, the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum also features exhibits on the battleship USS Arkansas (BB-33) and the missile cruiser USS Arkansas (CGN-41). Has a collection from the Arkansas River Historical Society with the history of the Arkansas River. The riverwalk next to the building features monuments to the USS Snook (SS-279) and USS Scorpion (SSN-589).

The museum recently acquired the historic tugboat USS Hoga (YT-146). Visitors will be able to tour it, like the Razorback, when it has been fully restored.
