Nintendo sues site owner HackYourConsole

Nintendo has sued the owner of the HackYourConsole website. According to the company, this site blatantly promotes and sells unauthorized Nintendo games along with a number of devices and services that circumvent the security of both the Nintendo DS and the Wii.

The promotion of unauthorized games does not appear on the website in question (I do not know if they previously sold pirated copies of games for Nintendo consoles, although it could be the case), but it is clear that the business of HackYourConsole is that of the sale of cards and storage devices (type R4, micro SD) to load all kinds of software in Nintendo machines.

Those responsible for HackYourConsole claim to be official distributors of the Gateway 3DS, the first flash card for this system that has not even been released, and they even offer an after-sales service to help configure the devices. Nintendo wants to avoid repeating the history of the DS with the 3DS and minimize the impact of piracy on its systems.
