Nintendo stops supporting some Wii services

The Wii is turning off little by little (along with its successor, Wii U , it does not just start, it must be said). We already knew that Nintendo has ignored the development of games for it, which is now joined by the cessation of some of the channels that for years have welcomed us when we turned on the console.

These are the channels News, Mii Contest, Weather, Nintendo, Voting and exchange of messages and Miis with other users. Some were there from the beginning, like that globe of the world that we turned around in surprise pointing at the screen with the Wiimote to find out what the weather was like in Madagascar in those early days with the machine at home.

These types of services have not been Nintendo’s specialty (the Wii has had truly Martian channels). I’m sure most of you passed them shortly after trying them. Compatibility with Wii games including Wii U soon my old white console will only serve to play Gamecube jewelry.
