The launch of ‘The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword’ enters its final stretch. On the 18th of this month we will finally find what promises to become one of the best Wii games. Nintendo’s machinery is in full swing so that no one can be clueless with Link’s next adventure.
In this way, the continuous trickle of trailers that reveal the game mechanics, the variety of environments, the roster of characters or the story threaten to bury the user with information. More than one of you has let us know that you prefer to stay on the sidelines to be as virgin as possible when the game arrives. I understand you, but in my case, working for VidaExtra pushes me to be aware of everything that is presented, and the video that I put below is really worth it.
The cutscenes in the adventures of Zelda were not important until the release of ‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’. Since then the presence of prerecorded sequences has only grown. Its importance was already essential when it comes to telling and narrating in ‘The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess’, but that contribution seems to be small if we take into account what has been shown so far by ‘The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword’.
The prequel character gives this game a special relevance. The complex puzzle that make up all the deliveries, independent of each other but related to little that we look at them from a certain distance, can count in this new chapter with an essential piece to understand the Zelda universe.
Connections to Ocarina are guessed, revelations about the master sword but, unless Nintendo has a surprise under its arm, the question I ask myself is: Where is Ganon? The answer will be ours in just over two (endless) weeks.
