Adele in tears: Las Vegas concert series postponed

The pandemic has ruined everything: in a video to her fans, singer Adele explains that her planned concert series in Las Vegas will not take place. The world star is visibly dissolved.

Las Vegas – British singer Adele canceled her concert series in Las Vegas a day before the planned premiere. In tears, the world star addressed the fans on Twitter in a video message on Thursday.

She’s so sorry, but her show just isn’t finished, says the visibly distraught musician. She and her team tried everything, but the coronavirus pandemic ruined everything. Half of their employees are ill, and deliveries are delayed. “I’m devastated and I’m so sorry that it happened at the very last minute.” The performances would be made up for at a later date, she promised the fans.

In November, the 33-year-old singer announced the concert series in the casino city lasting several months. The show, titled Weekends With Adele, was set to premiere on January 21 on the stage at the famed Caesars Palace Hotel. Two dozen performances were planned by mid-April. The concert hall offers space for over 4000 guests.

Adele released her fourth studio album, 30, last November. In total, the singer (“Hello”) sold well over 100 million records. dpa
