Brown bears ( Ursus arctos ) are mammals that live in the mountains of North America, Europe, and Asia. It is the most widespread species of bear in the world. In addition, these omnivorous animals stand out for their solitary nature, except for the females and their cubs.
These bears can sometimes be seen fishing for salmon in Alaskan rivers, as they tend to gorge themselves on fish to accumulate fat. In fact, a brown bear can eat up to 40 kilograms of food a day. Also, despite their large size, brown bears are very fast and can reach 50 kilometers per hour.
On the other hand, brown bears dig oseras (caves) to hibernate in winter, often near hills. Female bears take shelter during pregnancy and give birth for the winter, usually giving birth to a pair of cubs.
The young feed on Mars milk during the spring and remain with their mother for about two and a half years. For this reason, females only reproduce every three years or so.
