Art lovers can always find something to see and do at Laumeier Sculpture Park in southern St. Louis County, but one of the best times to visit is during the annual Art Fair.
Dates and Admissions
The Laumeier Art Fair is held each May during Mother’s Day weekend. In 2016, the Art Fair is from Friday May 6 to Sunday May 8. The fair is open on Fridays from 6 pm to 10 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 8 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm
Admission to Laumeier is usually free, but the park charges admission during the Art Fair. The cost is $ 10 for adults and $ 5 for children ages six to 11. Children under the age of six are free.
What you will see
The Art Fair showcases the talents of 150 artists from across the country. They display and sell original works of art in a wide variety of media, including ceramics, jewelry, painting, photography, and more. There is also music and entertainment throughout the weekend. You cannot bring food or drinks abroad, but there are many vendors that sell food and drinks during the fair.
Wine and beer tastings
You can also enjoy special events like beer and wine tastings during the Art Fair. Art of the Vine Wine Tasting is Friday from 6 pm to 9 pm Buy a $ 12 bracelet and get unlimited samples from Missouri’s best wineries like Blumenhof, St. James and Sugar Creek. On Saturday from 5 p. M. At 8 p. M., Schlafly will host an Art of the Ale event with beer samples and stories about the St. Louis Brewery. The cost to attend is $ 12 per person.
Mother’s Day Brunch
If you are attending the Art Fair on Sunday, invite Mom to a special Mother’s Day brunch. The buffet menu includes quiche, wraps, fresh fruits and vegetables, pastries, freshly baked bread, and beverages. The cost is $ 50 for adults and $ 15 for children ages six to 11. The price also includes admission to the Art Fair. Seats are available at 10:15 am and 11:45 am, and you must purchase tickets online in advance.

Good to know
Please note that the Laumeier Sculpture Park is closed to the public in the days leading up to the Art Fair. The park is closed all day on Thursdays and Fridays until the fair opens at 6 pm.
