Corona in Germany: Hospitalization incidence remains stable
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given by the RKI on Thursday at 1.87 (Wednesday: 1.88). A weekly or monthly comparison is not possible due to the high number of late registrations.
The number of corona-related hospital admissions per 100,000 people within seven days was given by the RKI on Thursday at 1.87. The so-called hospitalization incidence has been the most important parameter for the measures in the fight against the corona pandemic since a recently adopted revision of the Infection Protection Act.
However, in view of the large regional differences, there is no nationwide uniform threshold value for assessing the incidence of infection; rather, it is determined by the state governments themselves, with a view to the local conditions. The highest value for the hospitalization incidence was recorded around Christmas at around 15.5.
Corona in Germany: Almost 93,000 people have died so far
The total number of corona cases since the pandemic began rose to 4,125,878. The death toll in connection with the coronavirus in Germany increased by 20 to 92,857. According to the RKI, the number of those who have recovered is around 3,873,700. (FR / dpa / afp)
