Marburg – The moderator and doctor Eckart von Hirschhausen becomes honorary professor at the University of Marburg. This was announced by the Central Hessian university.

Von Hirschhausen will hold various courses in the Faculty of Medicine in the future, primarily on the topics of language and climate change in medicine. Von Hirschhausen had already given lectures at the university and also helped shape medical teaching.

"His remarkable ability to generate enthusiasm for important medical and social issues will become an integral part of research and teaching at the Medical Faculty of the University of Marburg in the future thanks to the honorary professorship," the university continued.

Von Hirschhausen's inaugural lecture on "Why words are medicine – interpersonal communication in the age of digitization" is planned for January 11th. dpa
