An eneus album by Ed Sheeran is a huge event in normal times. This year, however, the release party for the British will be rather quiet.

London – Due to his ongoing corona quarantine, pop star Ed Sheeran has announced that he will be celebrating the release of his new album with a “solo party”.

“I’m obviously still in Corona isolation, but please let me know what you think when it appears,” wrote the musician on Twitter on Thursday. “I’ve never been more proud of a work and I can hardly wait for you to hear it.” His fifth record “=” (“Equals”, in German: equal) will be released this Friday.

Sheeran also shared a short selfie video holding the vinyl version of the album in his arms. “I’m very, very excited. This is the first time that I’m releasing an album and have no one around, ”said the 30-year-old in the short clip.

The singer announced on Sunday that he had tested positive for the corona virus and was currently unable to attend appointments in person.
