Naomie Harris reports on #MeToo incident

The actress re-ignites the sexual assault and sexism debate. She talks about how a colleague grabbed her under the skirt during a casting. She did not give a name.

London – Actress Naomie Harris, 45, has reported a previous case of sexual harassment during a casting call.

A very big star grabbed her under the skirt while she was auditioning for a role, the actress told “You” magazine of the British newspaper “The Mail on Sunday”.

She did not give a name. What was so shocking about it was the fact that nobody in the room said anything because of the celebrity of the movie star. Fortunately, given the extent of such #MeToo experiences in the industry, this was the only incident of this kind for them.

Harris (“Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Moonlight”) from north London has been starring in the role of Miss Moneypenny in the new James Bond film “No Time to Die” for a few weeks now.

For around four years there has been a greater sensitivity in the public debate, especially with regard to the abuse of power in professional contexts. In October 2017, revelations about American film producer Harvey Weinstein kicked off the #MeToo debate on sexual assault and sexism. Cases have also been made public in other areas – such as the music industry or sports. dpa
