Pokémon UNITE will arrive in July on Nintendo Switch and will be played on mobiles from September

Every summer the Pokémon yellow fever is unleashed through a new game, and what Nintendo has prepared to celebrate the 25th anniversary is exceptional: Pokemon UNITE, the MOBA starring the well-known pocket monsters, will arrive in July on Switch and It will be played on mobiles from September.

Announced last year around this time, Pokemon UNITE embraces the League of Legends or DOTA2 format without complex, wielding its greatest asset: instead of heroes and champions, we will play with Pikachu and the rest of the charismatic Pokémon. And nothing like a cinematic trailer to heat up the atmosphere and give it excitement.

The premise of Pokemon UNITE is simple but really attractive: we will choose our favorite Pokémon and jump into a multiplayer battlefield with the triple purpose of eliminating the opposing team, conquering their play area and, in the process, surviving the attempt.

It is worth remembering that both on Switch and on mobile phones, Pokemon UNITE will bet on the free-to-play format and, once it is available on all devices, will offer the possibility of cross-play. On the other hand, Nintendo anticipates that Pokémon UNITE will offer a voice chat system, although it will not be available in Spanish at launch.

Extra gameplay per Pokémon account

In addition to the cinematic, Nintendo Japan has offered a kind of preview that serves to better show how the game system will work, confirming a large part of the Pokémon that will be available as well as their specialty throughout the battles.

The game, developed by Tencent and TiMI in conjunction with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, will offer Pokémon from all generations, including the Sword and Shield editions. In addition, we can dress our monsters with alternative outfits.

The celebration of 25 years of Pokémon does not end here: in November we will revive a classic with the remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and by early 2022 we will have the first open world of the saga: Pokémon Legends: Arceus
