Becoming a mother has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. It has helped me to grow, to learn new things and to see the world with different eyes. Step by step, I evolve towards a better version of myself, as a woman and as a mother, and over the years, I have lived many adventures and unique moments in this stage of my life.

In real life there is only one, but in the history of cinema there are characters that apart from being many things, they are also incredible mothers.

From the moment a woman finds out that a baby is on the way, everything changes. She waits for his arrival for nine months and when she finally holds her son in her arms, her life turns 180 degrees. Come to live by and for him. Without a doubt, motherhood transforms us and completes us as people.

The latest report 'Single parenthood and employment', prepared by the Adecco Foundation, already warned of the vulnerable situation of mothers of single parent families. In fact, 80% have seen their employment and economic situation worsen with the pandemic, a fact that has a direct impact on their mental and emotional health and on the way in which they can raise their children.

Quarantine is, in theory, the period of forty days after delivery in which the mother recovers from the physical and emotional changes that occurred during pregnancy and birth. A return to normality, they say.

Surely, most of us find babies very cute, and they cause us particular tenderness in their first weeks of life, when they are very small. However, the other side of that stage is rarely shown, which also has a side that is not so pretty.

Postpartum depression, burnout and expectations about motherhood are some of the problems that can occasionally invade us with negative feelings such as sadness, guilt or discouragement.

Much is said about the indisputable benefits of breastfeeding for babies, from birth and throughout the duration of breastfeeding, both for its incomparable nutritional value and at the immune level, since it protects the baby from infections, as well as of course, the emotional value for both.
