Ultrasounds are the first glimpse that we can have of our baby when it is still in the belly, and in which we can observe some of its details, such as the hands, face and feet. In recent years, we have seen artists create ultrasound-based paintings and embroidery, which many parents choose to purchase as a keepsake of their pregnancy .
The most recent creation we have found are the candles made by a young woman from the United Kingdom, where in addition to creating them with the silhouette of a pregnant woman, she also paints the ultrasounds sent by her clients in detail by hand .
Amy Cindy Davidson is an 18-year-old girl who likes to make candles. During confinement in her city, she was looking for something to keep her busy and since she made candles to sell on Etsy, she decided to give her brother a special gift .
It turns out that he and his wife were expecting their first baby, so to add a nice touch, Amy made a candle with the silhouette of a pregnant woman and hand-painted the ultrasound that her brother had shared on her belly.
Proud of her result, Amy published the photo on her social networks, where she received many compliments and something that perhaps she did not expect: dozens of requests and requests from other people , who wanted to have a candle with her baby’s ultrasound.
And that’s how Amy began to specialize in ultrasound pregnancy candles , currently making 25 candles per week, in which she spends 4 hours of processing: three to make the candle and one to paint the ultrasound.

Amy says that each piece is unique and made with great dedication, and that in addition to receiving requests from couples who are expecting a baby, she has also received requests from parents who have lost their baby and want to have a beautiful memory to honor their memory. .
