How to Make Pineapple, Mango and Coconut Water Smoothie

Difficulty: Easy
  • Total time 15 m
  • Elaboration 15 m

The preparation of this smoothie is very simple, as I mentioned before. However, it is important to have a good knife so that the only task required on our part, that of peeling and chopping all the fruit, is as inexpensive as possible.

We start with the pineapple and, for this, we remove the leaves from the top. We turn it over and remove the lower part in the same way. We place the pineapple vertically, on the cutting board, and cut the bark into strips from top to bottom. With great care to hold the pineapple well so that it does not slip and we end up cutting ourselves.

Once the skin or bark of the pineapple is removed, we remove and discard the core. This part is hard and stringy and, although it does not have a bad taste, it would ruin the smoothie because of the strands that it would leave after going through the blender. Cut the pineapple into pieces and place it in the blender glass.

Next, we peel the mango and remove the meat from the inner bone. Also be careful with the knife, the handle is very slippery and slippery, although its meat is soft and cuts without difficulty. We slice as much of the mango as possible to make the most of its meat. We discard the bone and introduce the mango pieces in the blender glass, along with the pineapple.

We peel the orange, leaving no traces of white skin so that the smoothie does not make us bitter, and we cut it in two. We peel the ginger and chop it. Add the orange and ginger to the blender along with the honey and coconut water. We grind until no pieces of fruit are noticeable and we have obtained a creamy consistency. We remove from the glass.

Finally, we add the ice to the blender glass and crush them until we get a slushie. We add the fruit smoothie to the glass again, beat to mix well and we have our smoothie ready. We adjust the point of thickness to taste, adding more coconut water if we consider it necessary.
