The moment you take a look at the view from Skyfall at Delano Las Vegas, you are fascinated by the lights, the horizon, and the endless possibilities of an evening out in Las Vegas. The cocktails will come and the conversation will flow, but that initial introduction to the horizon from the south end of the Las Vegas Strip will dominate your memory of the cocktail lounge adjacent to Rivea in Delano Las Vegas.
While the view is impressive, the overall design of the space is extremely attractive. Sit at the bar and its size is comforting. It is combined with the endless views. Large windows frame the view, but also lend themselves to the spacious feel of the room. The patio features attractive heating fixtures for the colder months, as well as comfortable seating areas that force you to blend in.

What should you expect?
The crowd at Skyfall varies depending on what is happening in the hotel. If there’s a big conference in town, you can expect to see a lot of name tags and awkward conversations. The weekends bring a bit more of a Vegas nightlife crowd. The first few nights will have the pre-dinner / theater crowd, so if someone is sitting in their favorite spot on the patio, wait a few minutes and they will probably move in and free up a spot for you to camp with a great view.
Must have at Skyfall Lounge Las Vegas
- Harvest Moon (Rittenhouse rye / Avua cachaça ambruana / mole bitters / pear brandy with cocoa / sweet vermouth) – Strength comes in different forms and this cocktail is a nod to feeling confident and solid. It is a rye-based drink that manages to remind you of your presence in the surrounding space. I don’t want to call this a man drink, but it makes me think of my dad explaining the perfect cocktail to me and I would definitely label him a man. My wife would smile at the thought of me writing that, but like any good cocktail it makes you think of fond memories and this drink makes me think of sitting at an old wooden table with my dad enjoying some rye.
- Sierra Aperitivo (Gray Goose orange / Apero / lChampagne selection Alain Ducasse vodka) – I have to admit I would never order this drink, but my wife would. In fact, she would order and I would take more than a few sips. I can’t order it to turn into lack of manhood, but it’s good. It is sweet, effervescent. It’s a champagne cocktail that would go very well on the deck of a boat.
- Gibson (Bombay Dry Gin / Dolin Dry Vermouth / Pickled Onion): The classic cocktail that originated the pre-ban is simple yet elegant and stands before you with a view of the Las Vegas strip that frames the view perfectly.
Golden Hour 5 to 7
While you can’t see the sunset from here (you can from the bathroom), the sunset from atop the Las Vegas strip allows for some stunning views of the ever-changing colors in the distant desert, as well as the switch switch. The lights on the Las Vegas Strip. There are a few happy hour drink specials to look out for, but by no means do they make this a cheap destination.
