So, I better tell you why you should visit Shake Shack at New York-New York Resort. For some of you, you will read this and wonder why I need to explain this burger since you have a shack in your neighborhood, for the rest of us, we don’t have one and this is like finding buried treasure in the middle of the desert. Imagine, a soft bun, a quality piece of meat, and some of the ingredients we love to have for an easy-to-digest price. Shake Shack in Las Vegas is good, cheap, and so convenient that you’ll have a hard time not coming back a second time during your trip.

We’re talking burgers here, so expectations are all over the map in terms of what you think you need and what you’ll get. Generally speaking, the Las Vegas burgers that are talked about seem to be the hype burgers that turn into legendary foods. At the top and expensive but colorful and culinary sample of cooking… blah blah blah. This is a hamburger, plain and simple. Shake Shack is delivering your basic fast food burger in such a quality package that you’ll be forgiven for going so cheap and so convenient even when you’re on vacation.
It’s not a fancy burger, it’s just a good burger at a very affordable price.
How’s the food at Shake Shack Las Vegas?
Did I mention that the burger is good? Let’s go to the other things. Yes, they have smoothies and yes, they are good. As long as you keep in mind that this is still fast food, you should be satisfied with the product that appears when your number is called. Oh yeah, there can be a wait, as a lot of people want to eat dogs, burgers, and French fries.
What you must try at Shake Shack Las Vegas:
- Shack Burger is a simple Angus beef burger that has just been ground up in the kitchen. The bread is fluffy enough to soothe texture issues, but not so soft that you lose your way. A slice of cheese, lettuce and tomato round out a good $ 5 burger. You could go double but I don’t think the extra $ 2 is worth it. Skip the cheese and the burger is $ 1 less. Yes, you can also add a mushroom or bacon burger.
- The hot dog. They break it up, they grill it. It shouldn’t pack as much flavor, but it is divine in its simplicity. You could go bigger with the Shack-shit dog, but that’s a production of cucumbers, seasonings, tomato, and enough stuff on top that you have to pull out a knife and fork. Who does that to a hot dog?
- Crinkle cut fries are a must as they have that crispy exterior and smooth on the inside. If you grew up in Southern California, you are thinking that Pup ‘N Taco is back.
- The shake n Shake Shack is the real deal as they prepare their creamy custard daily and your choice of chocolate, vanilla or your ever-changing flavor of the week. Smooth and silky as it goes down your throat, you’ll notice the lack of corn syrup right away, as this almost tastes like a healthy option to go with your burger.
