Delicious digestive lime and ginger ice cream, simple recipe

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 milliliters of lime juice
  • 400 milliliters of water
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons grated lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger root
  • Mint leaves (to decorate)
  • 50 milliliters of rum (optional)
  • preparation:

    1. Peel the ginger, grate it and use the zest immediately , to prevent it from drying out and losing nutrients. Also grate the lime when preparing the recipe. Jengibre
    2. In a saucepan, pour the water, add the sugar and the grated ginger.
    3. Cook until it boils, add the zest and lime juice .
    4. Lower the heat and simmer for about 4 minutes.
    5. Remove from heat, let cool and pour into a shallow pan.
    6. Place in the freezer and wait for the ice cream to harden, then remove it and place it in the blender for 15 seconds, along with the rum. The result should be a smooth cream, to be served in individual bowls.
    7. Serve the ice cream, decorated with a few mint leaves.

    If you prefer to make a lolly, simply follow the recipe until step 5 and then pour the shake into ice cream molds, add a stick to each popsicle and wait for them to freeze to drink the digestive ice cream after the meal.
