Ingredients: 250 grams of cod liver (1 can) 100 grams of grated cheese 30 grams of walnuts 3 potatoes 3 eggs 2 carrots 1 apple (better if it is sour or bittersweet) Juice of 1 lemon 1 bunch of green onions Lemon juice and mayonnaise to taste Preparation: Peel the potatoes and carrots, place them in a saucepan with water and boil them until they soften. Be careful not to boil them too much, so that you can then grate them. Cook the hard-boiled eggs, peel them and reserve them. Peel the apple, cut it into quarters and sprinkle it with half the lemon juice. Finely chop the green onion. Let the vegetables cool completely and then begin to assemble the salad. Place a layer of grated potatoes in a salad bowl, then some mayonnaise, the shredded cod liver, the chopped green onions, the grated cheese, the chopped hard-boiled eggs, the grated apple, and then the remaining lemon juice.Cover with the grated carrots and, finally, with the previously chopped walnuts. Store in the refrigerator until serving time. If you won’t be consuming it right away, save the nuts for last-minute addition so they stay crisp and have a delicious texture.
