Ingredients:

  • 2 kilos of frozen snails
  • 300 grams of pork chop
  • ¼ chicken
  • ¼ rabbit
  • 2 sausages or sausages
  • 2 white onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 bouillon tablets
  • 2 sprigs of aromatic herbs
  • 1 ham tip
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil
  • How to prepare Majorcan snails:

    1. We wash the meats very well and chop them . We dry with a kitchen paper.
    2. Cut the onion into brunoise and peel the tomato along with the garlic.
    3. In a saucepan with olive oil, fry the chopped onion.
    4. When poached we add the peeled tomato and cook over low heat.
    5. We clean the snails very well , neatly. In a pot with cold water we cook them over medium heat. When they start to boil we leave about three minutes and remove the water.
    6. We add clean water and add the aromatic herbs . We boil for about an hour.
    7. In the casserole with the onion and tomato we include all the meats, the chopped ham tip and the butifarrones. Mix and pour the chicken broth.
    8. Add the white wine and bay leaves . We cook until the alcohol evaporates.
    9. When the snails are ready we put them in the pot with the stew. We add the broth in which the snails were to give it the herb taste.
    10. Add salt and pepper, cook for another five minutes and remove the herbs. Cook a few more minutes and serve. Guiso de caracoles
